Terms of Service

• You must be at least 18 years old or have a parent or guardian's permission to use the marketplace.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure.
• You may not use the marketplace for any unlawful activity or to harass, mislead, or harm others.

• Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, availability, and product descriptions.
• Market organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their market profiles, including location, hours, and scheduling information.
• Vendors and markets go live as soon as they sign up. We may review listings and remove any that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• Vendors are solely responsible for fulfilling orders, handling returns, and resolving customer disputes.

• Vendors may publish products, experiences (classes, workshops, farm tours, u-pick), recipes, and food truck menu items. You are responsible for the accuracy, safety, and legality of anything you list.
• Experiences and farm tours involve physical attendance at your location; you are solely responsible for participant safety, supervision, and any liability arising from an in-person event.
• Recipes are shared for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for any outcome from preparing or consuming a recipe.

• Market organizers may create market days, invite vendors, assign slots, and manage event schedules. Vendors may request slots, self-schedule appearances, and check in at markets.
• Vendors and market organizers may message each other through in-app threads. You agree to communicate respectfully and to use messaging only for legitimate marketplace purposes.
• We are not a party to any stall fee, scheduling, or vendor-market arrangement; those are agreed directly between you.

• The "More Than Food" section lists food pantries, meal programs, thrift stores, furniture banks, and other community resources. Listings are provided for informational purposes, and we do not verify the availability of goods or services at any location.
• Resource managers may claim and manage their own listing. By claiming a listing, you confirm you are authorized to represent that organization and you are responsible for keeping hours, requirements, and contact details accurate.
• Vendors and organizations may post surplus food, clothing, or household goods for community organizations to claim. You are responsible for the safety and condition of any items you offer, and all pickups are arranged directly between the parties.
• Visitors may send inquiries (general contact, volunteer interest, or surplus claims) to a listed organization. We do not guarantee a response.

Vendors and market organizers receive a unique referral code they can share with other vendors and markets. When a new vendor or market signs up using your code, you earn free months of the Pro plan. You may also receive free Pro months as a sign-up welcome or through an admin adjustment.

• Referral rewards are tracked per account and recorded in an auditable ledger. Free Pro months are applied to your account and expire when the granted period ends; they are not redeemable for cash.
• You may not refer yourself, create accounts solely to earn rewards, or share your code in a way that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• We may change, suspend, or end the referral program, adjust reward amounts, or revoke fraudulently earned rewards at any time and without prior notice.

Shoppers may follow vendors to receive updates. We count profile views, website clicks, and order-link clicks to provide analytics to vendors and markets and to improve the marketplace. This data is aggregated and used as described in our Privacy Policy.

All sales happen directly between customers and vendors. More Than Corn Market does not process customer orders, collect customer payments, or guarantee delivery. Vendor and market organizer subscription fees (Premium and Pro tiers) are billed monthly through Stripe and may be canceled at any time. Free Pro months earned through the referral or sign-up program extend your Pro access without charge; when they expire, your plan reverts to your previous tier unless you have an active paid subscription. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

• Stripe handles all subscription payment processing. Use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's terms of service.
• Facebook (Meta) is used only when you choose to connect a Facebook Page to display your latest posts. You authorize that connection yourself and can disconnect it at any time. Use of Facebook is subject to Meta's terms and policies.

Our "Hired Hand" AI assistant is an optional tool available to Pro subscribers. It can draft product descriptions, social posts, and market-day emails, summarize your dashboard stats in plain language, and suggest improvements — all based on the information in your vendor or market account.

• You are responsible for reviewing and approving anything Hired Hand drafts before you publish or send it. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you should verify facts, pricing, and claims.
• Hired Hand only reads your own account data to answer questions and draft copy. It does not edit your listings, profile, or schedule on your behalf.
• Pro plans include a monthly limit of Hired Hand turns. We may adjust the limit, pause, or modify the assistant at any time without prior notice.
• Conversations with Hired Hand are processed by our AI provider to generate responses. Do not share sensitive personal, financial, or confidential business information in your prompts.

The More Than Corn Market name, logo, and site design are our property. Vendors and market organizers retain ownership of their listing content but grant us a license to display it on the marketplace. You may not copy, scrape, or redistribute content from the site without permission.

This platform is a passive directory operated by Northeast Iowa Main Streets LLC. The platform is not responsible for any transaction, food safety, or physical interaction between buyers and vendors.

The marketplace is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listing or product. You use the marketplace at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northeast Iowa Main Streets LLC (including its More Than Corn Market DBA) are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or from any transaction with a vendor.

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or engages in harmful or unlawful activity, at our discretion and without prior notice. You may delete your account and personal data at any time; see our Privacy Policy for details on what is removed and what may be retained (such as reviews and billing records).

You agree to hold Northeast Iowa Main Streets LLC (including its More Than Corn Market DBA) harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the site, your listings, or any transactions with other users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the marketplace after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
