Terms of Service

Northeast Iowa Main Streets LLC, doing business as More Than Corn Market, operates the website at morethancornmarket.com. Our community-aid section, "More Than Enough," lists pantries, meal programs, shelters, thrift stores, furniture banks, and other organizations across Iowa. Our only contact address for anything in these Terms is morethancornmarket@gmail.com.

• You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to use the marketplace.
• You agree to give accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You may not use the marketplace for anything unlawful, or to harass, mislead, or harm others.
• Everyone using the site also agrees to our Community Guidelines.

Every approved vendor and market gets a free profile and map pin, and a card is never required to be listed. Paid plans add reach and capacity for the whole account, shared by every profile you own:

• Free: 1 listing and 1 event a month, plus your profile, pin, hours, photos, and direct sales.
• Premium: $9.99 per month, or $99.90 per year. Unlimited listings and 4 events a month.
• Pro: $19.99 per month, or $199.90 per year. Everything in Premium, plus unlimited events, homepage spotlight eligibility, and the Hired Hand AI helper with a monthly cap, drafts only.

The yearly price is about two months free. Prices are in US dollars and may change for future billing periods with notice; the price you subscribed at stays in effect for the period you have already paid for. Subscriptions are billed and processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your full card number. When a subscription starts from a checkout, the plan, cadence, and price are chosen on that checkout page.

Switching between monthly and yearly. You can switch any time from "Manage plan" in your dashboard. The change applies at your next renewal, and Stripe prorates it automatically, so you are never charged twice for the same period.

• 14-day trial for new sign-ups. A new vendor or market can try Premium or Pro free for 14 days. A card is required, nothing is charged during the trial, and we email you 3 days before the first charge with the exact amount and date. Cancel before that date and you are never charged.
• Free Pro time already earned. Accounts that hold free Pro time from a previous offer, from referral months, or from an admin grant keep every month of it. Those months are never shortened or replaced by a card trial.
• When a trial or free period ends. If you have not subscribed by the end date, your account moves to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is charged. You keep your profile, your map pin, your hours, your photos, and the events you already have. If you hold more listings than the Free plan allows, the extra listings are hidden from the public (never deleted), and they come back if you upgrade again.

You can cancel from your dashboard with "Manage or cancel plan," linked in the dashboard, in the footer of this site, and in our billing emails. There is no phone call and no cancellation fee. When you cancel, your plan stays active and unchanged until the end of the period you have already paid for (or the end of a free period), and then the account moves to the Free plan. Cancelling stops all future renewals, and you can resume before the period ends if you change your mind.

We do not refund partial months or partial years. You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal, and you keep access through the period you have already paid for. If you cancel during a free trial, you are never charged, so there is nothing to refund. If you believe you were charged in error, or you were charged after cancelling, contact us at morethancornmarket@gmail.com and we will put it right.

If a payment fails (an expired card, or insufficient funds), Stripe retries the charge over the following days. We email you once with a link to update your card, and your dashboard shows an update-your-card prompt. Your plan keeps working while payment is being retried. If the payment stays unresolved, the subscription ends, the account moves to the Free plan, and your profile and pin stay live. Once a payment succeeds, your paid features come back.

Vendors and market organizers get a unique referral code. When another vendor or market signs up with your code and goes live, you earn a free month of Pro.

• Referral rewards are capped at 3 free months per calendar year. Months you have already earned are kept, even after the cap is reached.
• Free months stack onto free Pro time you already have, and are applied to your account automatically. They are not redeemable for cash and cannot be transferred.
• You may not refer yourself, create accounts to earn rewards, or share your code in a way that breaks these Terms or our Community Guidelines. Fraudulently earned rewards may be removed.
• We may adjust, suspend, or end the referral program at any time. Grants and adjustments are recorded in an auditable ledger on your account.

• Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. You may not post reviews for yourself, and vendors may not pay for or pressure reviews.
• New reviews are held for moderation: they are not shown publicly until our team approves them. We may approve, decline, or remove any review or other user content that breaks these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You grant us a license to display it on the marketplace, and reviews may remain visible (with attribution handled as described in our Privacy Policy) if you later delete your account.
• You are responsible for the content you post in listings, reviews, messages, the Rain or Shine feed, Lounge discussions, and event pages.

• Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, availability, photos, and descriptions, and for complying with food safety, licensing, and labeling laws.
• Market organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their market profile, including location, hours, and schedule. A vendor-hosted pop-up market is the host's responsibility.
• New vendor and market profiles start as pending and go live after our review. We may review, hide, or remove any listing or profile that breaks these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• Products, experiences (classes, workshops, farm tours, u-pick), recipes, and food truck menus are published by the vendor. Recipes are shared for information only, and we are not responsible for any outcome from preparing or eating one.
• Experiences, farm tours, and events involve physical attendance. The organizer is solely responsible for participant safety and supervision.
• Stall fees, booth fees, and vendor arrangements are agreed directly between the vendor and the organizer. We do not process those payments.
• Vendors and organizers are solely responsible for fulfilling orders, handling returns, and resolving disputes with their customers.
• More Than Enough listings are provided for information, and we do not verify the availability of goods or services. If you claim an organization's listing, you confirm you are authorized to represent it, and you are responsible for the accuracy of its hours, requirements, and contact details, and for anything you post as surplus, a donation need, or a volunteer need.

• Preorders are requests placed directly with a vendor. Payment is arranged between you and the vendor (cash, Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle). We do not process it, and we do not guarantee fulfillment.
• Save a Spot signups express interest only. They are not a commitment to buy and do not guarantee availability.
• Market days, slot requests, invitations, and check-ins are managed by the organizer, and we are not a party to any arrangement between a vendor and an organizer.
• In-app messages must be respectful and used only for legitimate marketplace purposes. Do not send money to someone you have not verified, and report anything that looks like a scam.

Hired Hand is an optional assistant included with Pro. It can draft product descriptions, social posts, and market-day emails, summarize your dashboard, and suggest improvements using the information in your own account. A monthly allowance of turns is included with Pro, and we may adjust it, pause, or change the assistant at any time.

• You are responsible for reviewing and approving anything Hired Hand drafts before you publish or send it. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, so check facts, pricing, and claims.
• Hired Hand reads only your own account data. It does not edit your listings, profile, or schedule for you.
• Do not include sensitive personal, financial, or confidential business information in your prompts.

• Stripe handles all subscription payments. Use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's terms of service.
• Facebook (Meta) is used only when you choose to connect a Facebook Page to show your latest posts. You authorize that connection yourself and can disconnect it at any time. Use of Facebook is subject to Meta's terms and policies.
• AI provider. Prompts and the account data needed to answer them are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The More Than Corn Market name, logo, and site design are ours. Vendors, organizers, and organizations keep ownership of their own content and grant us a license to display it on the marketplace. You may not copy, scrape, or redistribute content from the site without permission.

This site is a passive directory operated by Northeast Iowa Main Streets LLC. We are not responsible for any transaction, food safety matter, or physical interaction between buyers and vendors. The marketplace is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listing or product. You use the marketplace at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northeast Iowa Main Streets LLC (including its More Than Corn Market DBA) is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or from any transaction with another user. You agree to hold us harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your content, your listings, or your dealings with other users.

We may suspend or terminate any account that breaks these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or that engages in harmful or unlawful activity, at our discretion and without prior notice. You may delete your account and personal data at any time; see our Privacy Policy for what is removed and what may be retained, such as reviews and billing records.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict of law principles. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and the footer of every page links to the current version.

When you create an account, or start a trial or subscription, we record the date and the version of the Terms you accepted on your account. If we change these Terms, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you start a trial or subscribe. Your account keeps working in the meantime, and you do not need to accept anything again just to keep using it.
